Welcome to the Acadia S.M.I.L.E. Program

Snoezelen Room Programming

The Jack Scholz Snoezelen Room is a sensory-motor gym in the heart of the Acadia Athletics complex. Themed like a tour around Canada, the room is designed with a variety of interactive and sensory equipment to the stimulate sensory experience while also promoting motor, cognitive, and social programming.

Snoezelen room programming sees local schools and organizations bring a small number of participants to use and enjoy the space for an hour throughout the week.

In the 2024, 2025 academic year, Snoezelen Room programming saw 21 sessions every two weeks during the year.
